Saturday 18 April 2026: 9.30am to 4.30pm with a lunch break (please bring your own lunch)
Sunday 19 April 2026: 9.30am to 12.30pm
Workshop
Discover the art of willow weaving by creating your very own basic round shopping basket with a handle. This workshop is perfect for beginners and those looking to improve their skills. Over the course of the session, you’ll learn essential techniques such as selecting the willow, weaving the base using the pairing weave, building up the sides using waling and randing, and finishing with a wrapped handle. Depending on your experience we can use different techniques to build up the sides.
Join us for a fun two days, and leave with a beautiful, practical basket ready for your weekly shopping or market trips. All materials and tools are provided. No previous experience necessary – just bring your enthusiasm!
Children above 16 are welcome, but need to be accompanied by an adult.
